  5. He looks like a great master and you did him in style, a real tribute. I'm gonna look into this guy.
One question: The line I don't get. At least, I think it's not suitable for such a wise person. It's a bit childish. You do something to me, I do something to you. So I must be missing something.
And I'm still second, allthough Roberto tries to take all the numbers.

    1. Oh, he is really a great painter! The simple things, birds, flowers, a courgette... He makes them into art. Again, so simple, but so sofisticated! Sigh, it makes one feel very humble.

    2. I was also wondering about that sentence so I read a Chinese explanation, which mentioned zen and law of cause and effect (my Chinese is not that good so it was a bit hard for me). So maybe it has some deeper meaning, which is less about revenge and more about... Hmm...

    4. Hey WW, I do not quite know what it means, "line", in English, sorry, but I'm not referring to the quote, I spoke of the stroke, the line drawn with the brush, on the drawing :)))))

    5. Oh Roberto, I didn't notice that you and Hedwig both used the same word... I think you meant different things though, I think it is ok to use 'line' for both but I'm not a native English speaker myself either... :-)))))

    6. Yes, I ment the words, and I agree with R that your use of line, that is umm... brush strokes, are great and very Chinese!

  7. Hi! Your lovely version has a double effect - it tells us about your partialities in art and gets us acquainted with a remarkable artist. The simplicity is not that easy to achieve, I suppose. I like Qi Baishi's paintings very much, thank you for letting us know him!
