Urban

What could be more urban than graffiti. I can see this from my window. It is far away though so it might no look exactly like this... but similar... eh...

  1. I check out your drawing of flowers. They are wounderful. I really like them.

  2. Your work is the opposite of mine: simple, straight, modern, no trimmings, but I LIKE IT! The different textures, the many shades of grey, it's so subtle and ballanced. Great!!!

    1. Thanks Hedvig. And I like your work, it is happy and colorful with interesting characters, there always seems to be a some cozy story behind the surface.

  3. This is pretty interesting, so not "you". I mean next thing I hope will be a graffitti that you drew on a wall somewhere ;)

  4. Dear Sasa, it is not surprising to me that you've drawn a graffiti, because I know you're a fine observer of what is happening in cities (remember Beijing)

  7. Hi, Sasa,
It must be a real test of your skills to go from pretty Chinese still lifes, to noisy and ugly city scenes.
    Have a look here: http://www.urbansketchers.org/
I admire how much urban art these urban sketches put on their small drawing pads.

    1. Hi Paula, that site is really an urban inspiration! You are not tempted to give city scenes a try? That would really be something different after all your beautiful serene nature studies but I would love to see it :-)

    2. Maybe I will, Sasa. It would be a challenge. Not in the least because longing to beautiful nature is what drives me back to my drawing table.
