Queen Victoria


Cloudy day in London today. Went out to sketch with London Urban Sketchers, my the first time with this group. I came a bit late so had time to do just this one quick sketch of the statue of Queen Victoria in front of Buckingham Palace with lots and lots of tourists around it.

    Better cloudy than rainy.....
    Nice one, I like it - not to much lines and not too little.... just right amount of pen moves :)

    Quick but excellent, Sasa! I think although its a sketch you transmit perfectly the "cloudy atmosphere" perhaps if you could finish the background the image of the statue and monument, could seems as a bit lost in the general image, Dont you think so?

    Perfect! I looked at the photos I had taken there and realized how difficult it is to sketch - using just lines to "catch" the whole! It's always a pleasure to see your sketches, Sasa!

...or the sky's the limit... Roberto invited me to join the Drawing Challenge he hosted. I absolutely loved his theme 'No Limits' but found it really difficult, possibly because of my limited set of art supplies :-)  I am traveling with only a couple of pens and a small black sketchbook, which by the way I have managed to fill in during this trip, this is the last spread...
